COVID-19 Notice to Members

28 Mar 2020

  • RANGE & FACILITIES CLOSED : Effective immediately and until All Clear provided by governing authorities.

  • The province has just recently changed their policy concerning facilities (such as ours) during the COVID-19 emergency.

       "Access to all public recreation facilities, private entertainment facilities, bars an night clubs is prohibited"

    - Further, anyone found to be still open will be subject to fines ranging from 1000.00 up to 500,000.00.

    In light of this your Executive have, after meeting to discuss the situation, unanimously decided, the following:

    Effective immediately the CRPC range is closed till further notice.

    We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will advise further if any changes develop that effect us.

  • Effective immediately no shooting guests will be allowed on the range for the foreseeable near future.

  • Any changes to club operating rules will be released as they occur.

15 Mar 2020 : 19h30 Update

After much discussion your Executive have decided that it is within the best interests of club and club membership to implement the following measures immediately:

  • if infected PLEASE stay at home.

  • If recently returned from an infected area, please stay at home for the minimum recommended 14 day self quarantine.

  • If you have been in contact with someone who may be infected, Coughing, sneezing etc. please stay away for a minimum 14 days.

  • The range will be reduced to 5 active lanes only, every other lane will be left vacant/not used

  • Normal protocol will be applied by the RSO if all 5 usable lanes are busy and someone else wants to shoot

  • If sniffling, sneezing or coughing, or do not feel well do not come to the club, you will not be allowed entry.

While in the club:

  • We have placed a table in front of the RSO station and moved the membership card scanner down onto it.

  • Wash your hands whether using the facilities or not.

  • Again wash your hands.

  • Cover any sneezes or coughs.

  • In the event that you sneeze, or cough you will be asked to leave the facility.

  • Stay at least 2 meters away from the RSO and other club members.

  • There will be no cash transactions - We will not redeem excess targets

  • The tables/chairs in the club room have been situated in an attempt to maintain the minimum 2 meter distance between people as recommended, visit all you want just be aware of the 2 meter requirement, please do not violate this.

  • Please no hand shakes and refrain from touching your face. The situation will be tracked and changes to the above may occur with little notice.

  • Until further notice the Monday rifle league, and the Wednesday pistol league, and the junior program have been postponed.

Your Executive are attempting to be proactive without over reacting and are using the guidelines so far set down by Ottawa and Edmonton for all our protection.

Please note that our operating procedures will be adapted as circumstances change and/or as federal or provincial guidelines are updated.
